If you’re a Home Alone fan who’s had the film living rent-free in your head since the 1990s, then rejoice in the fact that the tables are now turning.

The genuine, real-life house that the film was shot in is going to be available for a night stay on Airbnb.

That means you can now live the ultimate Home Alone dream by hanging out “McCallister-style” for one day of the holiday season.

You’ll have to be pretty lucky to nab the spot though, especially considering that it is open to pretty much everyone at the terribly fair price of $25 (around R400) for the night.

This house, where Kevin McCallister spent one iconic Christmas while the rest of the family jetted off to Paris, is based in Winnetka, Illinois, just north of downtown Chicago.

Devin Ratray, who played Kevin McCallister’s older brother Buzz, will be the evening’s host:

The home features some carefully-curated moments and details from the iconic movie, which will be instantly recognizable for diehard Home Alone fans.

This includes actual booby traps (that guests will set up themselves) for potential intruders, ’90s junk food (presumably to inhale while watching rubbish), Kevin’s ostentatious green robe to wear, and Buzz’s pet tarantula.

Airbnb has assured would-be guests that there are no planned break-ins.

There will also be many stockings, a fully-decorated tree, and a delicious microwavable macaroni and cheese candlelit dinner set up on the dining table.

NBC News confirmed that to cap off the night, there will be a screening of the latest Home Alone film released last month, titled Home Sweet Home Alone:

Requests to book this stay will open on December 7 around 9PM local time over at Airbnb, with the house opening to guests from December 12.

I’ll leave the flights, visas, and other logistical headaches for you to figure out.
