There’s a new cowboy series in town, and it just rustled Yellowstone off the top of the streaming charts.
Reelgood, which tracks audience interest across all platforms in the US, revealed Taylor Sheridan’s new show Landman has edged out Yellowstone for the top spot.
Yellowstone season 5 part 2, had been enjoying the top saddle for the week prior, but it seems that fans are happily going along with Sheridan’s next cowboy iteration, despite the drama surrounding Kevin Costner’s exit – and how that mess led to the death of John Dutton.
Yellowstone remains one of the biggest television shows and boasts record-breaking ratings, so it’s hard to imagine the interest in the original characters fading anytime soon, regardless of spinoffs. Sheridan has been on a roll the last year so far, and there are even talks of a sequel show, which would reportedly focus on Beth, Kayce, and Rip.
There’s a lot of interest in Westerns these days, and we are not complaining about the Dallas vibes either.

The Landman cast includes Ali Larter, Jon Hamm, Jacob Lofland, Michelle Randolph, and James Jordan. Demi Moore rounds up the impressive cast.
The show even set a major streaming record for its debut, pulling 5.2 million cross-platform same-day viewers for its debut. On streaming alone, this is the biggest premiere for a Paramount+ series in two years. Landman has also become one of the top three biggest TV launches in the history of Paramount+, as well as the best domestic debut ever for the streamer.
Sheridan is running things around town these days, so let’s see if his Dallas/Yellowstone hybrid will last a few seasons.
