Ex-White House Official Claims The US Built A $21 Trillion Underground Bunker For The Wealthy To Hide Out In A ‘Near-Extinction Event’ [Video]

A former White House official who worked under the first Bush administration claims the US has built secret underground cities to the tune of $21 trillion for the wealthy to hide out in a “near-extinction event”.

Catherine Austin Fitts, who served as the assistant secretary of Housing and Urban Development under President George H.W. Bush, made the shocking allegation during a podcast with former Fox host Tucker Carlson.

A stunning $21 trillion in “unauthorised spending” allegedly occurred in the department between 1998-2015, according to a 2017 report released by Michigan State University economist Mark Skidmore. Fitts referred to a report that indicated the US Army had “$6.5 trillion in unsupported adjustments, or spending, in fiscal 2015.”

“Given the Army’s $122 billion budget, that meant unsupported adjustments were 54 times the spending authorised by Congress. Typically, such adjustments in public budgets are only a small fraction of authorised spending,” the report noted.

Considering the bombshell was dropped on The Tucker Carlson Show, its likely totes bullshit, but Fitts claims she spent years investigating where the $21 trillion had gone and discovered there were 170 secret underground bases across the US.

“One of the things I’ve looked at in the process of looking at where all this money is going is the underground base, city infrastructure, and transportation system that’s been built,” she said. “We have built an extraordinary number of underground bases and, supposedly, transportation systems, including bases located below oceans”, she claimed.

“It’s preparation for catastrophe.”

The exact locations of these secret bunkers and which members of the so-called elite might have access to them in the event of a near-extinction event, is unknown, but according to Fitts, these facilities are currently used in support of covert government operations, including a classified space program.

The theory that the world’s elite are building bunkers to outlive the peasants in the case of a global catastrophe is not new. Recently, reports of Mark Zuckerberg’s compound in Hawaii sent conspiracy theorists running to crackpot podcasters like Tucker Carlson with all kinds of outlandish claims, but there is some truth among all the noise.

Following the first Trump election, Vice even posted a video on how a group of Silicon Valley Tech bros at an exclusive resort sat around a table discussing whether New Zealand or Alaska would be the best place to build their secret bunkers.

Perhaps best known is Switzerland’s bunker system, constructed during WWII when the Swiss were worried that Hitler would come looking for his gold. The paranoia seemed justified during the Cold War when, in 1963, Switzerland passed a law that required all citizens to have access to a fallout shelter.

The threat of annihilation dissipated somewhat after the Russians and Americans eventually calmed down, but with the world at each other’s throats once again in the 21st century, we’re sure the abdes in the bowls of the Alps are getting a good spring cleaning.

South Africa has never been big on building bunkers, but it might be wise to start digging a hole in the backyard in case we piss off the wrong dictator. It won’t do any good if an asteroid should be our fate, but it’ll make a really nice spot for an end-of-the-world jol.
