Miranda Priestly’s back, and this time, even the death of print better watch its step.

Hell hath no fury like Miranda Priestly in a digital world.

Production is now in full, fabulous swing on The Devil Wears Prada 2, with 20th Century Studios confirming the return of the fearsome foursome: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci.

But there’s a spicy new addition to the haute couture chaos—Oscar-winner Kenneth Branagh, who’s stepping into the role of Priestly’s long-suffering husband. You’ll recall in the original film, Priestly gave us a glimpse behind the Prada shades, confessing that her marriage was, well, hanging by a Hermès thread: “it’s hard to be her.”

Disney’s eyeing a May 1, 2026 release—clever timing, given the real-life fashion shake-up: Vogue’s own ice queen, Anna Wintour, just stepped down after 37 years. (Need we remind you, Devil author Lauren Weisberger was Wintour’s former assistant? Coincidence? Absolutely not.)

And here’s the plot stitch: this time, Miranda’s got bigger problems than mismatched belts. Print is dying (R.I.P. glossy spreads), and the runway is going digital—likely without her blessing. “Florals for spring” might still be groundbreaking compared to that.

Rom-coms are back, baby—Anyone But You proved there’s still gold in the genre—and the original 2006 film wasn’t just a hit; it was a box office slay, grossing nearly $125 million in the U.S./Canada and racking up over $326 million worldwide. No surprise, considering it served up fashion, ambition, and enough side-eye to cause permanent whiplash.

The first film followed Hathaway’s Andy Sachs—young, naïve, and painfully unstylish—as she was thrown headfirst into the couture coliseum by Priestly and her venomously hilarious No. 2, Emily (Blunt). Cue impossible coffee orders, runway tantrums, and a love triangle that pitted Andy between Nate (Adrian Grenier, grilled cheese god) and slick industry insider Christian (Simon Baker, all charm and trouble).

The OG creative dream team is also back: screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna, director David Frankel, and Oscar-winning producer Wendy Finerman (Forrest Gump—yes, that Finerman).

Oh, and lest we forget: The Devil Wears Prada was nominated for two Oscars—Best Actress for Streep (obviously), and Best Costume Design for Patricia Field. Because if Miranda didn’t win, her wardrobe sure as hell did.
