During the changing of the guard ceremony on Sunday morning, an unidentifid 50-something man interrupted proceedings when he held a knife to his neck. Police intervened and tasered the man, jolting him to the ground.
An onlooker in the large crowd managed to capture the entire scene on video.
Eye witness Josh Greenberg said,
One stood in front of him and the other went around from behind and discharged the taser then the police got him on the floor, kicked the knives and put him in the back of the van.
The man was taken to the central London police station for questioning and a medical examination.
The Queen and Duke of Edinburgh were safely nested at Sandringham.
