On Sunday the crowd at Cuatro Vientos airfield were left flabbergasted when a jet blew up after it crashed into a hanger.
The estimated 3,000 people who attended the air show in Madrid were evacuated from the grounds when this aerial acrobatics came to an abrupt halt.
It was reported that the pilot was rushed to hospital with severe injuries, but unfortunately died in hospital. No one else was injured.
