The playing field is about to be leveled with the August Smart Lock. August was created by Jason Johnson and industrial designer Yves Behar.
Wait there is more, you can control this with your phone. The device uses Bluetooth to connect to an iOS or Android app, and with the app you can give your ‘keys’ to whom ever you choose to gain access to your home.
The base station attaches to your door and attaches to your deadbolt.
This is not the first of its kind on the market but its sleek design may sway your decision. The device has a price tag of $199 (R 2,008) and is set to be available by the end of this year.
