Congressional delegate Jim Moran toured Camp 7 of Guantanamo Bay last week, the facility where ‘high-value’ prisoners are held. Some of the detainees of Camp 7 include five men who have been charged for plotting the September 11 2001 terror attacks. But what is more interesting is what is at the top of these detainees’ reading lists. According to Reuters, Moran said:
Rather than the Koran, the book that is requested most by the (Camp 7 detainees) is ‘Fifty Shades of Grey.’ They’ve read the entire series.
I guess there’s not much going on, these guys are going nowhere, so what the hell.
Camp 7 is off limits to journalists, but they can tour the library and the other parts of the extensive prison. Reuters visited the library to see what else these detainees are reading. The library has everything from Agatha Christie mysteries to “stress reduction workbooks”. Even The Hunger Games is in the library, according to Zorro the librarian.
We have the movie and the book too.
