Beat Around the Bosch is SA’s first combined running and live music event, and it’s happening in Stellenbosch on 28 September! The event is the first of its kind because no other running race has ever featured live music from six stages around the 7,95km track through the historic student and winelands town.
The theme is 70’s retro, which means that you have a valid excuse to get your Jackie Moon on.
After the race, there will be a live music festival with a range of rad local bands.
The race starts at 14h00. The race entry fee is R120, and the festival fee is R50.
Here’s a sketch of the route. Click on the image to enlarge.
Also, proceeds are going to the Anna Foundation, which supports children from rural and farm communities, and Senecio, which supports people with spinal cord disabilities. So it’s a good time, and a good cause.
