Ever wanted to go to Burning Man? Well now you can – sort of. Take an aerial video tour of the desert gathering bought to you by San Franciscan, Eddie Codel, shot on his GoPro strapped to a quadrocopter.
Burning Man is very much like our Africa Burn. A festival (of sorts) out in a desert in the middle of nowhere where creative minds of all shapes and colours get together to create a community based on radical self reliance, expression, gifting and inclusion. If you haven’t been there you should definitely make a plan.
This 5-minute video will give you an idea of the sheer hugeness of the event and show you some of the amazing artworks and structures created by the creative minds that attend it. Bear in mind, most of it gets burnt by the end and there is a strict “leave no trace” policy to leave the desert in the same state it was found.
Keep an eye out for the big Facebook thumbs-up towards the end of the video. This piece wasn’t created by Mark Zuck, although he did attend the event along with the co-founders of Google.
