The sudden appearance of a crocodile onboard a routine flight in the Democratic Republic of Congo led to the plane crashing, killing 20. Only one passenger survived the crash, along with the crocodile; the crocodile was then killed with a machete. We’re not sure why this movie hasn’t been made yet.
The plane was on a domestic flight on August 25, heading from the capital, Kinshas, to the regional airport in Bandundu. The itinerary was interrupted by a crocodile, which had apparently been stashed in a duffel bag, getting loose, causing the frightened passengers to rush to the front of the plane. The pilots, 62-year-old Danny Philemotte, and 29-year-old Englishman, Chris Wilson, was unable to keep the plane stable, and crashed as a result. N’Djili International Airport is currently reviewing its security screening process.
