Liz Wahl, news anchor at RT America’s Washington bureau, resigned on air. She claimed she could no longer be part of a network that “whitewashes the actions of Putin.”
Liz Wahl noted in the interview with Anderson Cooper, that she decided to resign because Russia Today’s “propagandist nature” was clearer than ever with the escalating crisis in Crimea. Russia Today have since commented about Liz Wahl’s on air resignation saying: “… when someone makes a big public show of a personal decision, it is nothing more than a self-promotional stunt.”
