We’re not sure what’s more mindblowing – the sheer size of this block of ice and how slow it bops as a result, or the fact that it’s over 10,000 years old. Simply breathtaking!

Each year thousands of icebergs venture south past Newfoundland & Labrador. The majority of icebergs in the region are calved glaciers from western Greenland (Denmark). The remainder are calved glaciers from islands in Canada’s High Arctic. This ancient ice dates back 10,000+ years, and is one of the purest sources of freshwater.
