Second chances exist, people! No one proves this more than convicted murderer Amanda Knox, who has now landed a gig writing for a local Seattle newspaper.
Knox has been working as a freelance reporter for the small West Seattle Herald for a few months. The Herald asked her to be a freelance reporter, but not because of her notorious status.
But… we’re pretty sure it helps.
Amanda and her boyfriend were suspected of murder for the death of Amanda’s roommate, Meredith Kercherm in 2007. The two were convicted in 2009 and both spent four years in prison before a court acquitted them in 2011
“We approached her originally to give her the opportunity of a normal life,” said West Seattle Herald web editor Patrick Robinson. “We simply asked her as we would ask anyone of that age and stage, if they would be interested in writing for us as a qualified writer of that scale and this level of journalism.”
