There’s been a steady stream of roadside robberies and attacks on the N2, but things escalated very badly earlier this morning when a policeman was murdered as he tried to change two flat tyres on the side of the highway.
The attack took place near Macassar, where he was attacked by two suspects.

Provincial Traffic Chief Kenny Africa said, “He died on the scene. Forensic teams are currently combing the scene.”
It seems the killers sabotaged the unmarked police car, forcing him to pull over.
A manhunt is now on for the killers.
