Football players and stretchers, don’t you sometimes wish a physio would tell them to man up and walk off the field themselves?
This stretcher-bearer didn’t quite go as far as that, although Ergotelis midfielder Leonardo Koutris may have wished he had sauntered off himself. Koutris’ team were playing a Greek Second Division match against AE Larissa when the above comedy ensued.
You have to love the final slap in the face, simply dropping the player on the side of the field and then wandering off in a huff. It wasn’t quite Craig ‘sprinting off at the final whistle’ Joubert, but me thinks he may be looking for a new job sooner rather than later.
