Sand Springs, Oklahoma was the scene of a nasty incident that almost cost a police officer his life. Authorities were notified that a stolen vehicle was in the area and being tracked, setting up a road block that they hoped would bring the suspect to a halt.
As you can see that was not the case, the driver ploughing right into the parked police vehicle. ABC reports:
Footage from the police recording shows the dramatic moment of impact, as well as [patrol officer Matt] Stacy drawing his weapon and firing at the vehicle. The officer suffered minor abrasions and was taken to a local hospital after the incident before being released.
The suspect, later identified as 41-year-old Stacy Ann Bunsey, “had to be tasered and removed from the vehicle,” Carter said in the release.
She is now facing four felony counts including assaulting a police officer, eluding a police officer, driving under the influence and possession of a stolen vehicle, as well as a misdemeanor count of resisting arrest.
You would have to be under the influence to think smashing up a police car was a good idea. Adios Stacy, something tells me you’ll be behind bars for a while.
