Rio 2016 Paralympics Have Made A Huge Oscar Pistorius Size Mistake

A word to the wise for whoever runs the Rio 2016 Paralympics Twitter account - don't use convicted murderers in your promo videos.

I know it’s all sun and fun and beautiful people over there in Rio but someone’s really dropped the ball on this one.

The official Rio 2016 Paralympics Twitter account is in the process of recapping some of the event’s greatest moments, although their tweet from yesterday drew serious heat. Yes, they’ve only gone and used a video of Oscar Pistorius winning gold in the 400m final at the 2012 London Paralympics.

The tweet has since been deleted but here’s more from the Daily Mail:

The video showed Pistorius in a video medley of several other athletes complete with the message ‘with the love of your life’…

However, nobody from the Rio2016 organisation was available to confirm how the shamed athlete had made it into their high profile advertising campaign.

I’m not going to waste your and my time by offering something of a recap on the Oscar trial – that’s a road well trodden.
