Crafty Smuggling Methods Behind The Biggest Meth Bust In Australia’s History

Aussie law enforcement must feel pretty good right about now, nabbing a monster meth shipment worth over R14 billion. Meth users look away.

Move over Heisenberg and that Pinkman chap, you’ve been usurped in what can only be described as a monstrous bust.

Liquid methamphetamine to the value of Australian $1,26 billion (R14,3 billion) was seized in Sydney in what is the country’s all-time biggest meth bust.

The drugs were found in a shipment coming from Asia, the criminals attempting to get creative with their methods. Below from ABC:

The ice was allegedly hidden in stick-on ‘water magic’ push up bras, bottles of craft glue and painting sets…

Commander Sheehan said the investigation also yielded another 530 litres of liquid methamphetamine in Sydney.

“These drugs were concealed inside art supplies housed in five storage units in Sydney in the suburbs of Miranda, Hurstville, Padstow and Kingsgrove,” he said.

Four Hong Kong nationals have been arrested and could face life imprisonment if found guilty of the charges. Here’s one of those chaps saying goodbye to his freedom:
