It’s not every day that you hear a story as near to some seriously horrific fiction as this: A Durban woman has been accused of the murder of her boyfriend after throwing toilet acid over him.
Apparently “Jacile” Vusumuzi Mfeka arrived home last Tuesday, where his girlfriend had been waiting for him, whilst watching TV with his family. On arrival she went up to his car and poured toilet acid all over him.
Mfeka then got out of the car and ran to the Murchison hospital, where he later died of his injuries. According to a family member the injuries were horrific: “The acid caused his arm to burn and melt and his chest was also very burnt… All of the clothes he was wearing burnt to ashes.”
A colleague of Mfeka said that the girlfriend suspected him of having an affair.
