A couple of benches in New Zealand were altered to imprint advertising for Superette short shorts on the back of people’s thighs. This is creepy on a couple of levels, but I’m mostly curious as to how somebody could get the back of their thighs stamped with words and not notice.
Also, by “people” I guess I mean ladies with short shorts, because that’s all they have pictures of.
Says Superette’s press note:
“We put indented plates on bus stop, mall, and park benches, so that when people sat down, the message was imprinted on their thighs. This meant that as well as having branded seats, a veritable army of free media was created, with thousands of imprints being created and lasting up to an hour.”
Other questions: who goes around trying to read the markings on the back of people’s thighs? How many of these “thousands of imprints” were actually legible?
