Sun’s out, tits out?
That’s pretty much what happened in the UK, as hundreds of women gathered on Brighton beach in support of the #FreeTheNipple campaign.
Topless, of course, the protests began at Brighton Pier and ended up with everyone sunbathing topless. Even the men.
If you’re aware of the campaign, you might know that we are too. #FreeTheNipple.
If you’re unaware of what #FreeTheNipple is all about, it’s an attempt to normalise women’s nipples (and nudity) by desexualising them (us).
The fact that men can freely post images of their nipples on social media platforms such as Instagram, without the photos being deleted, is a social mindset that the campaign is looking to readjust.
If you’re up for the next support initiative, International Go Topless Day happens 28 August. Get ready, son.
