I constantly marvel at Google’s ability to answer almost any question I throw its way, although every now and again a search does turn up some rather odd findings.
I like to think most of mine are valid, and anything illicit is strictly for work research purposes, but let’s take a look at what South Africans are searching these days.
Side note before we dive in: Google processes more than a billion searches per day – intense.
Courtesy of MyBroadband, here are the top trending questions on Google SA this past week:
- What time is it in South Africa?
- How long does it take to get pregnant?
- How to get rid of dark circles around eyes?
- How to make flapjacks
- What is the informal sector?
- How to make white sauce
- Is Michael Jackson still alive?
- How to get over someone you love
- Who founded Google?
- What is baking soda?
Um, what’s up with Michael Jackson? Also, I wasn’t aware the desire to feast on flapjacks was so strong around these here parts.
We’ll leave you with this, some light-hearted relief from the comments section:
