There has been much speculation over the photograph of Stormers coach / ex-Springbok, Robbie Fleck, which graced the pages of the Cape Times and subsequently went ‘viral’ on the net just over a week ago. 2oceansvibe caught up with Fleck on Thursday to find out what was really going on in that photograph. Reports came flooding in to 2oceansvibe that day, with speculation that the Cape Times had run a full-on ‘mangina’ shot in its pages.
Rob Fleck has now confirmed that the offending portion of the image was in fact the hand and fingers of one of the Stormers players tackling him at the time.
“I was walking through CNA the other day and I received an SMS from a fellow ex-Springbok player’s father-in-law, which read ‘Is that a p**s I see?'” explained Fleck. “I called him back and he asked if I had seen the Cape Times, which I hadn’t. So I bought a copy and very quickly understood the confusion. And no, it was not a bodily part belonging to me!” confirmed “African Grey,” as his close friends call him.
Well, Rob, we’re glad you cleared that up.
So for those of you out there who thought that South Africa had just experienced its first celebrity ‘upskirt’ shot, I’m afraid you’re going to have to wait a bit longer.
