Investigative journalist, Jacques Pauw, has written a fascinating expose about the man who once claimed to be South Africa’s youngest billionaire, Mandla Lamba. In the article Mandla and Pauw have a heart to heart, in Diepsloot prison.
At one time Mandla Maba claimed to be a billionaire. But making those kinds of claims will get you noticed – by the police and the press. Despite the fact that Lamba has been sitting in prison for the last three months, he’s lost none of his charm, says Pauw.
Mandla famously said of the investigative journalist:
I’ll teach him discipline . . . He will creep around like an insect.
But now Lamba’s goose has been cooked and he’s begging for interviews. Two weeks ago he called Pauw to sort out their differences and set him on a course to find the real bad guys, which include his one time business partner, and the police.
