Check Out This 3,9m Python Found In Durban [Video]

A Durban couple decided to call an expert when they spotted a monster of a snake trying to slither onto their property.

Nature is moving into suburbia, which is evident in the strange animals that people keep finding in their homes or on their property.

A Benoni laundry room played host to a leopard last month. You can watch that video here.

More recently, a Durban couple had to call in an expert when they discovered an extremely large python trying to slither into their yard.

The expert, in this case, is KwaZulu-Natal snake catcher Nick Evans.

News24 with more:

The snaked measured a cool 3.9m and weighed 31kg.

Evans wrote on Facebook: “What a beast! Would love to know what it’s been feeding on!”

“This is the biggest python I’ve rescued,” he said, accompanying the post with a big smiling emoji.

The snake’s head is roughly the size of Evans’ hand:

You can watch him python-wrangling here:

Evans seems very pleased with his catch.

The snake is not venomous. As I struggled with it, trying to carry it out of the bushes [on the property] it wrapped its head around my neck, so by the time I carried it out, I was a bit light-headed,” Evans said with a chuckle.

Remember that time a python tried to kill me? Oh, how we laughed and laughed…

If you want to see Evans take on more snakes, here’s a bonus video of him wrestling with two mambas he recently found in a scorpion-infested room.

I don’t know how to feel about the fact that he’s wearing slip-slops.

The python was released back into the wild, having learned a thing or two about trying to live with humans.
