The matric dance in South Africa is turning into a combination of MTV Cribs, and My Super Sweet 16, if the video you’re about to watch is anything to go on.
We’ve seen some choices in the past like police escorts (read: waste of taxpayers’ money), but this is next level.
Katlego Mogaladi clearly comes from a wealthy family.
If that was ever in doubt, they made damn sure that we know it now.

The cringe levels are quite something.
In other posts on her social media accounts, she cavorts in skimpy swimming wear at a pricey Cape Town hotel, depicts breakaways to Europe, including to Paris and London, as well as pamper sessions at boutique venues.
I don’t think her swimming wear matters much, but those overseas holidays sound nice.

I’m all for having fun at the matric dance, but it shouldn’t cost more than the average wedding.
Also, in a country struggling with high levels of unemployment, a recession, and failing service delivery, flaunting your Ferrari is nothing short of bad taste.
I blame the parents for this one.
