Die Antwoord Respond To ‘Hate Crime’ Allegations With Video Of Their Own

Last week, a video from the 2012 Future Music festival in Adelaide, Australia, started doing the rounds. Die Antwoord have now offered their own video response.

Last week, a video started doing the rounds showing Die Antwoord’s Ninja and Yolandi Visser in an altercation with Andy Butler of the band ‘Hercules and Love Affair’.

The video was shot at the 2012 Future Music festival in Adelaide, Australia, and was edited by Die Antwoord’s former videographer Ben Crossman, who has since fallen out with the band.

Start by watching the video in full here, and checking in with Ninja’s initial denial of wrongdoing here.

With a number of festivals since dropping Die Antwoord from their line-ups, I guess they felt it necessary to try and clear the air once more, uploading this video to their YouTube channel on Wednesday.

Off we go:

Peace and calm are cool, but maybe Yolandi shouldn’t run around screaming “f*ggot” numerous times if they’re trying to put out “good vibes”.

A few days prior to the uploading of the video above, the band also uploaded episode one of ZEF TV by Dune, which included a story about Yolandi kicking a guy in the face and hitting him with a microphone:
