The insane things that happen on a billionaire’s yacht, superyacht, megayacht, or gigayacht for some, stay on board or out at sea.
Unless one of the deckhands working in the industry puts on a creepy mask, uses a voice manipulation device, and speaks frankly to VICE.
VICE featured one such deckhand as part of their Informer series, which includes anonymised confessions and insights about people in positions of power.
The industry may still have a lot that is buried in secrecy, as is true for most areas where a large amount of money is involved, but there are some tales that have floated to shore, exposing the truth.
Yacht crew members have long told stories of drugs and sex on the high seas.

Throughout his career he has worked months on end without days off, seen colleagues sexually harassed and often is left clearing up after sex parties and coke binges.
He describes clients’ ridiculous requests, and expectations, and just how far people are pushed, sometimes even leading to fatalities.
