The exact details surrounding a video that has gone viral on social media remain scarce, but we do know a few things.
Firstly, the video is filmed inside a Capitec Bank branch, with some of the posts on Facebook labelling it a branch in Strand, Cape Town.
Secondly, it seems as though the woman may be suffering some sort of mental breakdown, which actually makes it quite difficult to watch.
The location where the video was filmed appears to have been confirmed by Capitec, which released a short statement in response to queries.
The bank said, “We as Capitec are as perplexed by the matter which happened at the Strand branch as everyone else and we are trying to get to the bottom of this.”
It’s not known what happened prior to the video below, but there is chaos once the woman begins to damage various items of property:
