Fair Play To Jeremy Clarkson For Handling This Prank So Well [Video]

Aside from unleashing a few choice words, the former 'Top Gear' host handled the fake protesters talking about the plight of soil and its feelings like a champ.

In its prime, Top Gear was one of the most popular shows in the world.

Then 2015’s Steakgate took place, when Jeremy Clarkson punched producer Oisin Tymon while hammered because the kitchen at a Yorkshire hotel wouldn’t open after hours and cook him a steak.

We say steak, but it was actually “an 8oz sirloin with fondant potatoes, pan-fried wild mushrooms, grilled cherry tomatoes and peppercorn sauce”.

This led to Top Gear booting Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May. No bother, because they headed to Amazon and achieved great success with The Grand Tour.

Perhaps Steakgate has mellowed Clarkson, who could have been excused for dishing out a few punches in the direction of UK comedians and presenters Ant and Dec.

For their Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway show, the duo hired actors to protest about the plight of soil and its feelings on Clarkson’s farm in Oxfordshire.

Here’s C&I News:

Ant and Dec also got involved as protesters with the help of disguises including wings and face masks…

After one ‘protester’ handcuffed himself to Clarkson’s car, the ‘police’ showed up.

Just as you thought the prank was going to come to an end, Ant and Dec drove a bulldozer over to the vehicle and dumped soil onto the roof and windscreen and as you can imagine, this didn’t please the former Top Gear host.

That’s the moment when I thought somebody was going to dine on a knuckle sandwich.

Alas, Clarkson held it together. The fake police officers on site did cop an earful.

Things really kick off around the 5:30 mark, a nude protester enters the fray at 7:30, and Clarkson unleashes a verbal tirade at the nine-minute mark:

Credit where credit is due.

Good thing nobody asked him about Greta Thunberg.
