Remember that Mavericks billboard over at Kloofnek Road? The one with the half-naked lady advertising some or other fragrance for men, that people have been getting a little upset about? Well it was subtly edited by some enterprising soul last night.
Well, I mean some might say “vandalized,” but let’s not split hairs.
For those who aren’t much good at spot-the-difference games, somebody spray-painted underwear over the splayed-out model’s otherwise exposed bottom, and amended the tagline to read:
“ALIBI: fragrances for men and women. “
None of which changes the fact that whoever put up the ads in the first place forgot to close the quotes, which is just poor copy.
