That’s right. Apple could be in the process of developing a slow-motion camera. Reports suggest the camera will be able to record videos at 120-frames per second. Currently the iPhone 5 can shoot a maximum of 30 frames per second. Videos recorded at 120 FPS are crisp and smooth.
The camera feature, code named “Mogul”, has surfaced from the iOS 7 code. The feature is there but it is in a disabled state. But should the new feature rumour prove to be true, it will not activate on older iPhones as the hardware does not support it.
The new feature is expected to be announced later this year.
This is a video shot at 120 FPS and when presented in a slow-motion state, the viewer is able to appreciate more of the details in the footage.
