Spanish crooner Julio Iglesias is quite obviously no fan of the Donald, the politician’s views on Mexican immigrants (and most other things) enough to cause him to speak out yesterday.
Iglesias was speaking to a Barcelona-based newspaper when he delivered a telling blow to clowns everywhere. Huffington Post reports:
“I’ve sang many times in his casinos, but I won’t be doing it again,” Iglesias said in the interview published Wednesday. “He seems like an asshole to me. He thinks he can fix the world by forgetting what immigrants have done for his country. He’s a clown (and my apologies to clowns).”
Of course he isn’t alone in those sentiments, his views shared by many Latinos around the world despite what the presidential hopeful might think:
Trump has repeatedly said that Latino voters will support him despite his denigrating comments — an outlook that isn’t borne out by polling. Nearly 3 in 4 Latino voters say they view Trump negatively, and 67 percent say they have a “very negative” view of the candidate, according to a poll released last week…
Looks like it’s a battle between America’s half-witted conservative voters and the country’s Hispanic population. We can only hope the side with more sense comes out on top.
