When Dale Steyn eventually hangs up his boots, he’ll leave behind a record that puts him firmly amongst the finest bowlers to ever play test cricket.
Some might even say that in his heyday, he was the finest of them all, and it’s hard to disagree with that.
During this summer’s first home test against Pakistan, Dale took his 422nd wicket, going past Shaun Pollock as South Africa’s leading test wicket taker.
Kagiso Rabada hoisting Dale onto his shoulders was a wonderful moment, and over the years Dale has been involved in many of those.
