A Western Cape mayor, Jonas White of the Cederberg Municipality, is being investigated after allegedly sending pornographic pictures to his deputy, Lorna Scheepers. White’s alleged pornographic collection includes his erect penis covered in cream and topped with a strawberry.

But White did not stop there, he went as far as inviting Scheepers on a private trip for the two of them to Durban at the expense of the municipality – allegedly. 

The details emerged in an affidavit submitted by Scheepers to the Western Cape executive committee of the African National Congress. Songezo Mjongile, secretary of the African National Congress, confirmed that the ANC was looking into these allegations. The investigation was also confirmed by Novela Potelwa, a police spokesperson.

White’s spokesperson, Anthony Mlata, said,

The mayor does not recall sending inappropriate messages to any of the citizens in the municipal area in his official capacity.
