It seems our ‘selfie’ generation is so infectious that even animals are catching on.
Behold: the world’s first ‘elfie’.
While we all know that taking selfie shots from the bottom is NOT the most flattering (come ON, Ms. Elephant!), this keen safari park elephant apparently took the selfie on a visitor’s phone, when he had dropped it.
Scott Brierley, 23, said he found a photo of African elephant Latabe on his phone after it was returned to him by keepers at West Midlands Safari Park, near Bewdley in Worcestershire.
They had thought that the 22-year old elephant had mistaken the phone for food and were shocked when the phone was still working, and even more so, when they saw the photo.
Ellie just wants to feel involved!
