  • 5 Reasons Why Phablets Are The Business

Phablets are the new things these days (even though we think “tablone” is a better term for the phone/tablet hybrids), and getting your hands on the larger-than-life devices may seem daunting, but there’s some serious perks to having a super-sized mobile phone, such as Hisense’s MAXE X1, which 2oceansvibe recently got its hands on, and here’s a few things we noticed with Hisense‘s big addition to the family:

    1. Better visibility: the obvious benefit to taller and larger screens is greater visibility and the MAXE X1’s 6.8-inch display delivers some serious clarity and space to operate in.
    2. Truly all-in-one: these days, you need a swiss-army knife of mobile devices, and the X1 phablet delivers all the communication elements you’d need, 4G included, while also providing the flexibility of media use, with some impressive shooters: 5 mega-pixel front-facing and a 13-mega-pixel rear-facing cameras, to be exact.
    3. Less cumbersome: some smartphones can be too finickity, and some tablets too big and awkward, so a phablet’s design and style can be ideal to carry around on-the-go, and the X1 isn’t overly-sized with its dimensions (192.2mm x 95.6mm x 9.2mm), but just right to slit easily and comfortably into your hands.
    4. Room for creativity: With more space available for app design, developers and manufacturers have more room for creativity – literally – and you can use the expanded screen as a remote for your smart TVs as well as viewing videos and media without using a microscope, as is with the case with other smartphones.
    5. More popularity, more choice: As phablet sales rise – consumers will buy twice as many in 2015 than they did in 2012 – and with this the support for devices, like the X1, will increase dramatically in the next year or so, giving you a device that’s at the forefront of the trends.

As for the stuff under-the-hood, the MAXE X1 is running on Android 4.4 KitKat, features an MSM Snapdragon 2.3GHz Quad-core processor chip-set, has motion-control and air-gesture features, and a blue glass-light filter, which brings some serious quality to your selfies and cat pictures.

The X1 also features a mini-me kind of controller, which is essentially a Bluetooth enabled dial-pad, allowing you to answer calls or respond to messages even when your phablet is tucked away in your bag.
So, if you want to find out more about the Hisense MAXE X1, head over to the product page to see where you can buy the device.
