The feeling of great achievement to summit your first mountain, the feeling that you have conquered the world by getting to the top of this majestic piece of land formed millions of years ago. With the correct gear, this is something that is possible for most of us… Why on earth would you want to summit the highest lone standing mountain in the world, barefoot?

Andrew King and a few mates decided to do just that. Kilimanjaro: those who have done it know it is not an easy task, even with hiking boots.

Before the departure they must come to terms with the science of walking through harsh terrain in sub-zero conditions and at high altitude in a bid to make it to the summit.

Check their incredible footage – here.
