You’ll remember Neill Blomkamp from District 9 and you should definitely watch his new film, Chappie, because it looks flipping awesome.

Darling Neill has now let slip that he will be directing an Alien sequel, with original director Ridley Scott acting as producer.

He says he has been “wanting to make an ‘Alien’ film for like years and years”, but didn’t want it to be part of a crazy franschise where in 50 years time there would be Alien pt 7346592.

The film will likely occur after the events of “Prometheus 2,” a sequel to the “Alien” spinoff “Prometheus” though “neither “Prometheus 2” nor Blomkamp’s “Alien” film have a script just yet.”

Happy days for Alien fans from South Africa.
