Feliks Zemdegs Has Successfully Defended His Rubik’s Cube World Champ Title In 5.695 Seconds [Video]

If you thought the solving of a Rubik's Cube was something that took days, weeks and months to complete you would be wrong. Enter this Aussie kid showing us how it's done.

Certain numbers are set to go down in history for the sheer athletic excellence they represent. Usain Bolt’s 9.58 seconds 100m time (his 19.19 200m time isn’t half bad either), Don Bradman’s test cricket average of 99.94, Cristiano Ronaldo’s ability to writhe in agony after coming into contact with two blades of grass simultaneously – these are without rival in the realms of sporting excellence.

Enter 19-year-old Aussie Feliks Zembeg, competing at this year’s Rubik’s Cube World Championships in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He managed to nail top spot in the 3x3x3 cube competition with a staggering time of 5.695 seconds, retaining his title from last year.

Does his achievement rank alongside those greats up top? Nope, American Collin Burns holds the world record with a time of 5.25 seconds. Unlucky chap, if you want the fame, glory and adoration of women all over the world you’ll need to shave around half a second off your best.
