This Is How A US College Gymnast Got 9.925 For Her Floor Routine [Video]

It isn't often that your university gymnastics routine grabs international attention, although this young lady is in the midst of her 15 minutes of fame.

Her name is Sophina DeJesus and she is on fire.

The UCLA gymnast helped her team claim victory against Utah over the weekend, but it is her individual performance that has grabbed attention. The 21-year-old landed a near perfect 9.925 for her routine, one that included some hip hop moves you may recognise.

The strut, the whip, the nae nae, the ‘I don’t know what you call that thing at the end’, these add up to a performance that has been viewed almost 20 million times on Facebook.

Don’t try this at home folks, it will not look as graceful and there’s a good chance you’ll be pulling a hammy or two.
