The Endless Summer (and the second effort) might have changed surf documentaries forever, but that being said many modern-day releases tend to look the same.

Enter this effort from Red Bull, focusing on the life and times of Cape Town’s own Frank Solomon. Growing up in Hout Bay, Frank has risen to fame thanks to his fearless approach to charging monster waves – although there’s more to the man that meets the eye.

Let’s Be Frank is a visceral journey through the unseen and unknown world of big wave surf adventurer Frank James Solomon, an intercontinental clandestine investigation blurring the lines between myth, legend and reality – leading to the question… Just who is Frank?

The movie is kind of a big deal, obvious from the fact that there is a world tour for the premiere screenings:

September 1st: Los Angeles, USA
September 9th: Cape Town, South Africa
September 11th: Durban, South Africa
September 15th: London, UK
September 16-24th: San Sebastian, Spain
