    • These Are Our Favourite Cape Town Sushi Restaurants

Before sushi became a status symbol in Cape Town, climbing its way to becoming ridiculous popular, there was Cape Town Fish Market (CTFM).

CTFM was one of the first restaurants in the Cape to offer sushi, and their Kaiten-zushi (or conveyor-belt style of serving) has only grown in popularity since.

One can only imagine the delicious pickings from which you can choose, as freshly prepared dishes make their way around the bar – and CTFM knows this:

The conveyor-belt was the first in its kind in South Africa and is a firm favourite amongst Sushi lovers. Seat yourself down while California rolls, sashimi, fashion sandwiches and other tempting portions pass slowly by – all colour coded plates to make it easy for customers to stick to their budget – however small or large that may be!

Tempura is also an old-time favourite that displays the Japanese art of making crisp, deep fried seafood and vegetable morsels, which boasts a lacy texture and subtle taste.

    Absolutely tantalising.

To treat you, CTFM hosts an “Eat As Much As You Like” sushi buffet every Thursday for only R165 per person. Although you only eat from the buffet, and not the conveyor belt (see T&Cs below), there’s hardly a difference between the two.

Pop over to their website to make a booking at a location closest to you and please do enjoy the experience.
