Long has the “Like” button on Facebook been placed in the same category as cocaine addiction.

After all, most of us are going onto our 10-year anniversary of being on Facebook. Terrible.

Addiction to social media engagement (engagement = likes, comments, double taps and views) activates the same part of the brain that cocaine does when inhaled through a nostril.

Although studies have suggested that social addiction is a lot easier to quit than substances, many forgo the opportunity and choose to live a life which involves their face glued to their screen.

In light of this, content marketer Brafton has created a beautiful infographic suggesting the best times to post on the top eight social networks, just so you don’t have to do the hard work:

Check the full, animated version out here.

Of course, this information should come with a disclaimer: if your audience differs drastically from the norm, you might have to figure out your own strategy (or just check out the analytics 😜).
