Who Wants To Hang Out With The Cape’s Top Winemaker Tomorrow Night?

When you win South African Winery of the Year you get certain bragging rights, and I think we all deserve a glass or three of the good stuff this week.

It’s one of South Africa’s most iconic wine farms and has won multiple awards to boot – and tomorrow night their Group Winemaker, JC Bekker, is making his way to the city to introduce you to what Boschendal Wine Farm has to offer, just in case you don’t yet know.

Bekker is also the Cellar Master at Boschendal, and has quickly built a solid reputation.

So solid, in fact, that several local and international awards have led to Boschendal’s selection as “South African Winery of the Year” at the International Wine and Spirit Challenge in London.

Hosted by HQ, Bekker has hand selected some of Boschendal’s most beautiful wines for their Fine Wining evening and, of course, you are invited.

Here’s a sneak peek at the menu HQ has put together for the pairing:

Aperitif

Smoked Chicken & Vegetable Crunch Roll served with a chilli, coriander and soy dipping sauce

A crisp salad of Cos and Iceberg leaves, toasted pine nuts,
parmesan shavings and dressed with a Dijon mustard vinaigrette

Main

250g Sirloin wet aged for 32 days and grilled perfectly medium-rare, served
with skinny fries & Café de Paris Butter
