Golf has famously been called a good walk spoiled, and for the large majority of players a day out involves a fair deal of searching for errant shots.
If you end up in amongst the trees, though, you’ll want to check you’re not nestled up against a root before giving your ball a whack.
Fail to do so, and you might just end up like English bowler James ‘Jimmy’ Anderson, who took one to the bek during a recent round of golf with new ball partner Stuart Broad.
There’s so much to like about this one. There’s the actual impact, and then there’s a stunned reaction from Broad that is about as English as it comes:
A) @jimmy9 is perfectly fine.

Hopefully this ends the ridiculous Dale Steyn / Jimmy Anderson debate that Poms seem so fond of. Dale can be found on Muizies beach catching waves, and Jimmy is smashing a ball into his own face.
(Then there are their records on the sub-continent, but I digress.)
Broad said his pal was completely fine after the incident, and it shouldn’t be too long before we see him back on the course:
Break a leg, Jimmy.
