When cellphones first appeared, they were huge brick-like contraptions that people in films pulled laboriously out of handbags when they needed to make a call.
Then they started getting smaller and smaller, thinner and thinner, and all the more compact.
Now, Apple is bringing the big phone back, but with the style and elegance of an iPhone.
I’m talking about the iPhone XS Max, now available in SA which, despite being the biggest iPhone ever made, is outselling its smaller counterpart.
Fresh off their ad for the Apple Watch (filmed in Cape Town, I might add), they’ve released a whimsical unapologetic celebration of the new iPhone by unashamedly pushing the phone’s size.
Roll tape:
They had me at the giant cat.
