In January, we brought you the ‘pizza fork’ that nobody asked for.
Now there’s a “revolutionary” stirring machine that’s basically a spoon.
The Stircle – yes, the ‘Stircle’ – is a rotating cupholder that stirs your coffee for you.
According to VICE, this thing was created by a designer named Scott Amron who wanted to do away with our collective dependence on single-use plastics, like coffee stirrers.
I literally just stirred my coffee with a wooden coffee stirrer so that market might have already been cornered with a simpler solution, bud.
Sorry.
Also:
Amron says that the Stircle could successfully stir 50,000 cups of coffee and “add only 10 cents to electricity bills, with the added benefit of zero waste.” Although this “awesome coffee stirring device” has recently been re-shared on Twitter, the same thing was actually invented almost 3,000 years ago.
It’s called a spoon.
Check out the Stircle anyway:
Again – spoon.
While we’re on the topic of spoons and coffee… have you tried Importers Coffee yet?
No matter how you stir it, it’s a great way to start your day.
