We’ve come a long way since the flip phone with its two-megapixel camera.

Scroll back far enough through someone’s Facebook photos and you’ll find the blurry remnants of that age.

Nowadays, if you have a smartphone, and this is especially true for an iPhone, you can capture video and images that rival even the most advanced camera equipment in terms of quality.

It was with that in mind that the iPhone Photography Awards was created – the first and longest-running iPhone photography competition in the world.

Per PetaPixel, the winners have been announced in this years’ competition, with the winning shot captured on an iPhone X.

The Grand Prize and title of iPhone Photographer of the Year went to Dimpy Bhalotia from the United Kingdom for her photo ‘Flying Boys’ captured in Banaras, India:

More on the competition from Mashable:

The winners of the iPhone Photography Awards used a variety of different iPhones, from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone XS — proving you don’t need the latest model to capture super-impressive shots.

Of course, there’s some post-editing involved to enhance the quality of photos, but they’ve all been taken using Apple’s hardware.

Scroll down for second and third place, and winners in some of the 18 categories judged in this year’s competition:
